Interviews with Anyen Rinpoche

Rinpoche reserves private interviews for dedicated and committed students. Prior to scheduling a private interview with Rinpoche, please observe the following courtesy:

  1. Attend at least one teaching given by Rinpoche.
  2. Introduce yourself to Rinpoche after the teaching.
  3. Rinpoche will let you know how to proceed and ask you to contact Sarah (sarah@orgyenkhandroling.org) for scheduling if need be.

If you are granted an interview, please arrive promptly and be mindful of your allotted time with Rinpoche as he does keep a very full schedule with interviews scheduled consecutively. You may find it helpful to write down your questions ahead of time so you can stay focused.

When you come for an interview, please be mindful of Rinpoche’s time and energy. During your interview time, conversation should be related to the dharma : study, application in daily life and practice on the cushion. It is Rinpoche’s direct request that we come to an interview prepared to talk about how to move forward with our practice, both on the cushion and off. Before you arrive, please take some time to reflect on the teachings you have received, and consider how they might apply to your personal situation. This will help you to clarify what practice-related questions you might have before you arrive.

Traditionally, when a private interview is given, an offering is made to the Lama. Monetary offerings should be placed in an envelope and given to Rinpoche at the conclusion of your time. You may offer a khata if you like. Other offerings might include flowers or fruit.
